Finally a few moments to sit and check out what's new and catch up on my blog writings. I see that Cia posted some new photos of the newly designed Signature Fragrance bottles that were shown at the store she was at either today or yesterday....and as I thought I see a few that are the top five scents being changed out until the Fall line hits the stores. There are a few others too. Don't you think it would be great if they loaded up the old bottle designs now in a bin and marked them down to clear them out?
Plus this design change makes it easier now to keep track of the age of a product. Labels and photos change a lot, but a design change is, I would think, is a bit more involving as I am sure the machines that manufacture the product will also need changing. I have worked for DIAL and I have seen what is involved in manufacturing antibac soap up close and personal.
From what I read on Kelleys page, she made note that the store clerk told her about the increase of shea in the products...which may be why they are trying to account for another price increase. $11.00 now is $12.50. Personally, I don't care if they put it in a Ziploc baggie to sell it to me...Just keep the prices reasonable. We are not talking about designer fragrances here with high end ingredients and movie stars backing the products name. We are talking about the same basic scents.... berry, vanilla, florals that are recycled over and over again. They need to be careful not to push the prices to a point where consumers will push back... and not buy the items. I will pay more for something, if you give me more.
Currently the bottle designs are:
Through the years the bottle styles have changed to fit the needs of both the consumers as well as the companies marketing...to keep it all fresh to keep us coming back for more. I am looking forward to actually holding the new products and seeing how they stack next to each other for storing.
Again, many thanks to Cia and Kelley for sharing their photos until our stores start carrying these products.
