Bath & Body Works | Today - 6/3 BOPIS Pickup and Appliance Delivery

Last night before bed I did a BOPIS order at Bath and Body Works for the Fine Fragrance Mist Fruity Sherbet Scoop and a moisturizing pocketbac, Champagne Toast.  Most of the FFM were sold out on the front table sale items so I grabbed the one that was available to BOPIS.

Not long after the crack of dawn, the appliance business called that they were coming with my three much needed appliances.  Two men with long straps attached to a body harness carried these heavy items around to the back of the house...as easily as if they were carrying grocery bags.  Goodness.  With my pulled chest muscle now taking its good nature time healing I can't even carry anything with any weight to it...and digging out three tiny starts to poison ivy weeds with Nana's pitchfork only set me back again.  But that's another story...it's been a month here.

They set up the washer and dryer first, then the fridge. After cleaning the fridge out and getting the food back into this much newer layout than our previous fridge, we ran to the mall to grab my BOPIS order, and takeout.

The pretty setup of the front table shown in these photos from Saturday has since changed to red boxes as most all of the fine fragrance mists were sold. I wandered around the store noticing what was sold off already looking for anything special and watched the customers navigate the tables filling up their bags while I waited for my turn in line for my order.  With nothing else to add to my purchase, I made three other stops and went home to eat.

After lunch we did a load of laundry to try out the new washer.  All of the appliances that went were 30 years old...RIP... y'all earned it.

As soon as the final rinse started....we knew we had a "lemon"  and had to call the company.  They sent a repair man immediately because it was close to closing time...for him to hear it for themselves, both from my video and real life.  From what they can figure...from the loud noises that sound like someone threw metal bolts inside a high speed running metal barrel that was compressing plastic water bottles for added sound effects...there are parts of some kind between the washer drum itself, and the secondary drum.

They said they will get a replacement out as soon as they can.

The fridge must have been jealous of the washer because it, too, made a loud,  crackling noise...that hubby thinks could be a reaction of the new plastic reaching the colder temperature inside.

After 30 years of use...the old appliances didn't make a noise at all on their way out the door --- they simply said Nope...and stopped.  I wish we could have had them fixed.

And that old saying that things aren't made like they used to be ---- is spot on. Quality is no longer, job one...evident by the cheaply made with inferior goods "top of the line" products received today.
