Yes, it happened. And yes — it vanished from my app wallet too.
Here’s what I know:

A 25% off coupon launched in the app, announced via email. It was planned.

There was a glitch. The coupon started stacking with other promos and discounts — people were getting massive savings and flooding social media with screenshots.

B&BW pulled the coupon without much of a heads-up and later told stores the promo was canceled.

Then, publicly? They said it was “never supposed to be there.” Which... we all know isn’t quite true, since we saw the emails.
Understandably, this sparked some real frustration — especially for those who missed out or had it pulled mid-use.
Have they canceled the orders from those who stacked savings? From what I’ve seen — no. It looks like they let those go through and just stopped the coupon from further use.
💬 So... Now What?
Some people are calling for a boycott of the brand. And hey, I get it. When you feel let down or deceived, it’s natural to want to take a stand.
But here’s the thing: Talking about a boycott and following through on one are two very different things. We’re creatures of habit. And sometimes, even when we’re mad, the draw of a new scent or sale pulls us back in.
As for me? I shop with my own wallet — not someone else’s outrage. When something rubs me the wrong way, I respond in a way that feels right for me. I’ve returned candles. I’ve sold things at cost. I’ve walked away from launches that left a bad taste. Not because a group told me to — but because I felt it in my gut.
🛍️ Final Thought
Big businesses protect their bottom line. Small businesses do too — just with a different approach. If a company changes their promo strategy, I get to decide whether I still want to support it. That’s the power of being a customer.
So, if you’re upset? That’s valid. Find the response that feels right for you — even if that means just waiting for the next great deal and moving forward.
