𧴠Bath & Body Works Daily Essentials Collection – Held Back, Now Slowly Appearing? (Spring 2025)
Back in early Spring 2025, Bath & Body Works previewed a new third-party skincare line called Daily Essentials, featuring SPF-focused products, lip oils, and more. But right before it was set to launch with the season’s floor set, it mysteriously vanished from shelves.
Now? It’s starting to trickle back in — and I’ve seen it myself.
π What Happened to Daily Essentials?
Originally part of the Spring lineup, the Daily Essentials Collection never made its full debut. Store employees speculated at the time that packaging issues—specifically, the hard-to-read fonts and low contrast—were to blame. While some products briefly appeared in early merch photos, they were quickly removed and never hit the floor... until now.
π What I Saw in Store This Week
Some of the lip oils from the Daily Essentials collection are beginning to show up. I saw a few shades available today:
-
Nude
-
Light Pink
-
Soft Red
But here’s the thing — the packaging is still hard to read. I have vision issues, and even snapping a photo and zooming in didn’t help much. The font and color contrast made it almost impossible to make out the shade names.
I didn’t buy any yet because I’m not sure how I feel about lip oils in general. I’m more of a:
-
π Lipstick fan
-
π Lip balm all day long
-
✨ Gloss occasionally (but only when I can tolerate the stickiness)
π Throwback: What Was Supposed to Be in the Collection
Here’s what was originally listed as part of the Daily Essentials Spring 2025 line — many of which never saw a full release:
☀️ SPF Skincare
-
SPF 50 Daily Invisible Face Moisturizer
Mineral-based sunscreen with antioxidants + squalane -
SPF 50 Eye Cream (originally in red packaging)
-
SPF 50 Illumination Drops
-
SPF 40 Daily Primer
π Lip Oils (SPF 40)
-
Nude
-
Light Pink
-
Soft Red
At this point, it’s unclear if the rest of the collection is:
-
Being quietly sold through,
-
Still held in the back room waiting for return,
-
Or being reformulated for a possible late summer or SAS launch.
π Final Thoughts
This collection clearly had potential, but it seems to have suffered from a packaging misstep that impacted accessibility. For now, I’ll keep watching store displays (especially the side walls and smaller fixtures), and I’ll be checking again during Semi-Annual Sale, where sneak reintroductions like this sometimes pop back up.
Bath & Body Works | Third Party Daily Essentials Collection - Held In Back - Spring 2025 - Packaging Issues?
This collection never made it to the floor for the Spring floor set. Workers speculated it was being held to get replaced because of the printing on the packaging was too hard to read. I don't know for sure, some of it was set and sold and shared on social, and nothing more was mentioned. In going through my Spring 25 Archive, I am pulling those things that didn't come out and moving to the top of the list should they appear. These were the only photos that showed online and were immediately removed.
