π Bath & Body Works Store Visit | Summer 1 Preview: Tomato Girl Summer Enters the Chat
During today’s trip to my local Bath & Body Works, I spotted several small tables already set with upcoming Summer 1 Collection releases, launching officially this Monday, May 12th. And yes — I spritzed every single one!
πΏ Tomato Girl Summer Has Arrived
Bath & Body Works is clearly leaning into the seasonal trend with their take on the "Tomato Girl Summer" aesthetic. I was drawn immediately to the table and reached for the Fine Fragrance Mist first.
To be completely honest, I got distracted by nearby shoppers chatting about it and totally forgot to test the candle or explore the other forms — oops! But the conversation was helpful. Sales associates I spoke to mentioned that the spray leans floral, while the other formats (candles, lotions, etc.) have a more earthy vibe.
It’s definitely going to need a second round of testing — and Monday, I’ll be back in-store to try it all more thoroughly.
π️ Packaging & Presentation
Visually, the display was lovely and well thought out — but there was no Pocketbac Sanitizer to be seen for this scent. I was a little surprised.
And here's a thought: I really wish they had added an inspiration board or visual storytelling piece to this setup. The name Tomato Girl Summer evokes a whole mood — Mediterranean leisure, soft linen dresses, baskets of fresh produce — but without any context, it might come across like Bath & Body Works is suddenly into vegetables. π
π¬ Final Notes
The scent? Still undecided — more testing needed. The concept? Fun and trendy, with room to grow into something great. Keep an eye out for my Monday follow-up!
