With Spring comes donations, de-stashing, and organizing the already organized in our home. I finally got around to putting the collaboration purchases away and grabbed three of the items I wasn't going to gift to return.
I did list them last night (at retail cost) but with only likes and no purchases, I returned them to my store. Having plenty of room to store things only enables the storing of things....and I prefer more of the using up of things...I suppose it's an age thing. So back to the store the coin case and two pocketbac holders went. A thought about these coin cases. I have four cases from gift sets from years ago...a bunny, black cat, and two others I forget now...and they were cheaply glued together (glue is now changing color and showing.) The Princess Cases are well made, with stitching included.
The tables are still full of body care from that Princess collection. I miss the regular monthly releases that we once had. Remember those? Certain things for the specific times of the year...with returning fragrances and occasionally something new. Valentine's day...minus the gourmand??? ...geesh, that is such a mistake.
Tropicals. Destinations. SUMMER....I mean really Summer fragrances. With tons of accessories. All on the front tables...(yes I know, the Collab was considered a Front Table Takeover). They didn't want it to be like Bridgerton back by the cash wrap, not seen at the doorway.
Mother's day is coming up. Then Father's Day. Semi-Annual Sale....so many chances to WOW us. I long to be wowed by small collections of fragrances; (paris, italy collections were great) Why not Christmas in July....a real New Years Eve Collection of new fragrances...not just Champagne Toast. More Bakery Scents, Garden Scents, Men's Library / Man Cave with newness. Boardwalk Collection of scents. Heartland Collection. Dig into the grassroots...or sneak into the scent archives and bring us back the true temptaions and every other good scent hidden away.
I am just starting to smell everything in store again, and it is costing me a fortune...making up for lost time smelling I suppose... ha ha. And after being a lover of this brand from the beginning, my first thoughts are....Keep Everyday Luxuries in the wall. Men's and Women's Collections. Keep them as Core...and use the front real estate for NEW. Not just collaborations.
Make a Gourmand section space in the wall too...rotating scents all year...but offering those fragrances for the die-hard fans who truly love that class of fragrances. If they can't find them in store/online they will search other brands for their wants.
A friend was asking me over the weekend in the store about a fragrance that one of the Princess' reminded her of from years ago. So I was checking out the collections on the blog from 11 years past in the color packaging she was remembering it was in....and wow...the assortment...and choices.
Did I mention more Accessories? Offer more Wallflowers that are small enough to use --- detailed---and not priced at a million bucks each---and light enough that they won't fall out of the wall. They shouldn't need duct tape to keep them in!!! ha ha.
Purchases with Purchases....Tote Bags...Buckets.... Mother's Day Spring Flings. Summer Must haves. Sunglass cases. Fall into Autumn with plenty of Fall inspirations. Holiday totes - Buckets - BLANKETS. Socks.
Well that is it for now, here is the small Preview of Sweetest Song that was out. I did try the parfum mist on Saturday, it stayed on all day. I grabbed the Pocketbacs...of course, and the Mini Perfume. $19.08 total.
We should see Spring 3 begin in stores around 3/24. All subject to change of course.
