Bath & Body Works | New Summer Themed Items Found Coming For May Floorset!

Here is a sneak peek at more newness hitting the stores, ready for our upcoming May floor set of Summer Fun! My thanks to all who share on Instagram and allow me to reshare their finds.

Here is a sneak peek of the New Label on the Bath and Body Works Fragrance Sweet Pea shared on Instagram by user @exclusivebbw. After seeing hyaluronic acid added to the refreshed packaging for At the Beach, I wonder if Sweet Pea is getting something more added to its formula, or merely a facelift of its packaging. Time will tell, as this is now beginning to hit back rooms.

Today, the Bath and Body Works Rewards Member App revealed a new item!

Hyaluronic Acid in a Ultimate Hydrating At The Beach Body Cream. When I saw a sneak peek of the At the Beach Fine Fragrance Mist in new packaging, I thought it was like a few other scents we know are getting a package facelift this spring/summer. But this is not just a new label for this fragrance...it's a new formulation and one I look forward to trying.

When we will see this hit the shelves? I am not sure as the App didn't mention to it, but with the warmer weather right around the corner...and product starting to hit stockrooms, it should be soon.

Early this morning I was shown a sale coming up for this weekend. I thought it was what we will be seeing tomorrow, Saturday, May 1st, but after reviewing another list of promotions and having a friend reach out to tell me that all stores may not have the same sales...I found out more.

The Promo for Aromatherapy was All Aromatherapy Body Care, Buy 2 Get 2 Free. Making them priced at half off. I don't believe the Wellness Collection is considered as an aromatherapy collection, as it is part of the regular body care items and will not be part of this sale.

And I shared a bit of this information on Instagram, with the understanding that I won't share all of it at once. Many stores are struggling to make their end of month sales goals and I don't want to cause them to do less because I spilled it all at once, or have the sales change.

There are some good things coming...some email (code required) exclusives, some are in-store promotions. And I will add them here daily.

Yesterday, I shared on Instagram that I saw the new marketing regarding the change of the body care sale promotion beginning today. Please note that not ALL stores are affected by this sale, but most are. Some stores still will have the buy three get two sale, and some stores are offering $5.00 off body care items.

The comments on the upcoming promotion change were not joyful. The change from the buy three get three (or two) free - buy two get one free has currently become - buy three, get one free. Now granted, no business is required to give anyone anything for free...we all get that and I, personally love that Bath and Body Works has chosen that as its usual promotion...pretty much at any given time. Which makes the items half off when its a b/3g3.

The incremental product price increases we have been seeing inches our sale pricing up more and more so when we hear that a change was made to a sale...we notice. Now to buy fragrance mist priced at $16.50 each we must spend $49.50 before tax to get four. That makes each mist now cost $12.37 with that promo...up from a $8.25 cost with a b3/g3.

A friend mentioned that some of the reason for this change in promos was because of a limited supply of product currently in stores ( and online it would seem). Transportation issues, theft in warehouses ( where the boxes are opened, product removed and then the boxes resealed), and warehouse production still at only 25% due to COVID are also playing a role. We have seen and heard this happen before, even with candles and wallflowers. Of course, there is so much more to making business decisions; all of the unseen things that go into making a brand as successful as they are. But as a consumer...a customer who shops faithfully in stores and online, we are NOT thinking about anything except getting some new in our hands. And we do not like change. That's it.

Will I be shopping for body care? I don't need anything that is in stores now body care wise. Sure there are bunches of New that came out that I would WANT...but I don't need them.

I am going through the excess I have...tossing out those things that have gone bad way too soon ( $109.50 worth of travel size items so far last week)...selling off the doubles and triples I have...and using (and enjoying) scents I haven't used in some time. When the new Summer fragrances become available for all of us to buy I will check those out then and determine which I want. And hopefully by then, the sales promos offered will resume to our old standbys.

Bath & Body Works | De-stashing and Examining Wasteful Spending

While continuing on with my de-stashing of extra Bath and Body Works things, both home and body care, I came upon the travel sizes containers holding a treasure trove of fragrance. These beautifully decorated hard board boxes that kept the years of fragrances neatly organized and clean while waiting for their turn for use were gone through yesterday. And let me just say...the quantity of new hitting Mercari for sale, and the quantity of new hitting the garbage can varied greatly...with the garbage can getting way too many more. And I am sickened over it all.

Bath & Body Works | New Clean Scent Single Wick Candles And Wallflowers

I have been seeing these candles and wallflowers all over social media for a few days now, and I am not sure if they are heading to all stores soon, or if these are just testing here and there. But because they are something new I asked if I could share these great pics so everyone can get a look at them, even if we cannot buy them yet. Thank you Reddit friend u/rosaestanli for allowing me to share your find.

Wallflowers and Single Wick Candles:

Backyard Breeze - fresh geranium, orange blossom, and patchouli
Coconut and Cotton - coconut, coastal breeze, and beach side cotton

There is nothing worse than seeing some new candle collections set on the floor that you want to buy...but are waiting for the next candle sale to happen...and then finding out a few of the candles have been pulled for a time without an explanation.

Many stores had set some of these new candles early, for one reason or another, and sellers on Mercari even had them offered well before my store had them. There were a few I was thinking about when I ventured into my store on Monday but since there wasn't a candle sale happening, I decided to grab a quick pic and move on to the hand soaps instead.

I don't try to smell anything in stores currently with the three layers of masks I wear so I wouldn't have noticed anything off on the select candles that were pulled off for a time until I purchased them and brought them home. From what I have been told, a few candles had a terrible smell to them...some said a fish-like scent coming from the lid. Workers posted on social sites that they could smell the scent but they weren't sure what it was about.

Perhaps a concern over the glue holding the rubber gasket in the lid...or the rubber gasket itself became an issue. Workers, I am told, were instructed in an email that they had to pull those candles from the shelves and hold them until new lids arrive to replace the current lid. They are also now required to check candles when they come in before setting. That makes sense.

Today I was told two additional candle scents were pulled from the shelves for an off wax scent. Some said a copper, metallic-like scent while others noted a burnt wax odor.

The candles removed three days ago were:

Salted Ocean Air
Thank You Mom Champagne Toast
Madre All Day Watermelon Lemonade

The candles removed today were:

Strawberry Poundcake
Endless Weekend

As I hear more info about the candles, I will post updates.

When I shared the Canadian Bounce Back Coupon earlier showcasing the New Berry Waffle Cone Body Care Collection coming, it showed a blurry look at the Berry Waffle Cone Candle. Thanks to @_scentsgalore we have a better look at this upcoming candle and the rest of its collection. I am guessing it is out in Atlanta, GA testing currently with so many people sharing them and Mercari sellers offering them.

I was told we should see these come for the rest of us for the May floor set.

I haven't grabbed one yet to try...Aromatherapy Eucalyptus Spearmint and the C.O.Bigelow Mentha Soaps are my favorite go-to bar soaps. Spearmint for winter time to erase the dry itchies having the heat on causes and Mentha for summer time for refreshing your skin after the suns heat

The soaps are priced $8.50 each and are part of the Buy 3/ Get 2 Free or Buy 2/ Get 1 Free Sale. If I grab one to try, it would probably end up being the ROSE scent, and I will review it then.

When the new Bath and Body Works Wellness Collection released earlier this week we saw the typical fragrances come with it. Blueberry, Pomegranate, Avocado, and Coconut. Thanks to Instagram @luvangelikah we get a peek at a few other fragrances found in the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, NJ store. Rose Hips, Colloidal Oatmeal, and Hyaluronic Acid.

I am not sure if all stores will get these new additions, or if they are a "test market" currently but I wanted to share this great find. If they don't launch wide, we may see these hit the Semi-Annual Sale in June.

Bath and Body Works All Hand Soaps Sale began today online and in stores. Online, the pricing does not require a code so you can use a coupon to reduce the price even more.

The one thing I did notice this morning was the new Sunshine Mimosa hand soap was added to the site, yet the sale pricing was not showing. Then the product disappeared from the site...either by being sold out, or by them adjusting the posting.

Bath & Body Works | New Fragrance Found On Canada Marketing - Mid Summer Dream

Earlier today I was shown a piece of marketing for Canadian buyers for a new fragrance coming soon, and it was called - Mid Summer Dream.

The scent notes on the card read: A dreamy blend of salted pear, fresh nectarine, and seaside lily. This piece of marketing did not share a release date for the fragrance, nor did it state it was a Canadian release only so we can hope it will be part of a summer release in the states possibly for May or Semi-Annual Sale.

The packaging is done with a perfect feel of beach side coloring and I am looking forward to smelling this to see if it is a redo of something we have had before or if it is a new fragrance. As I find out more, I will continue to update and share.
