Bath & Body Works | New TerraCycle Recycling Program Available In Select Stores

Bath and Body Works has continued to find ways to reduce waste and recycle and today a select few customers received emails alerting them to more of these changes.


TerraCycle recycling program available in participating U.S. Bath and Body Works Stores.

In a few select areas, customers can begin to bring back their clean, empty:

  • Candle Jars
  • Wallflower Refills
  • Soap Bottles and Pumps
  • Pocketbac Sanitizer Bottles
  • Sanitizer Spray Bottles and Pumps
  • Body Care Bottles
  • Hand Cream Bottles and Caps
  • Lip Balm Tubes and Caps
  • Store Blotter Papers

What CAN NOT BE RECYCLED:

  • Aerosols
  • Wallflower Plugs
  • Candle, Soap, or Pocketbac Holders or Accessories


TerraCycle has been an important  partner of Bath and Body Works for over 20 years helping them along their sustainability journey.

I think many of us would gladly bring back the bottles all cleaned out regardless of a monetary incentive...but for those few stores that are piloting this program,, it will be interesting to see how it works out in the long run.  

Hopefully, it will NOT take as long as the Rewards APP  program did to go nationwide so that we ALL can benefit and not the select few.  And I hope, there will not be an abuse to the coupon policy to have it discontinued before it goes nationwide. 

Some of the Coupon Terms I have found are:

  • Limit ONE $5 off $25 coupon per customer. (I don't think that means once coupon for every item brought in.)
  • Sales tax, shipping and handling, gift cards, gift wrapping, third party merchandise and PREVIOUS PURCHASES do not qualify towards minimum purchase amount..
  • May only be combined with MYB&BW loyalty rewards, and Birthday Gift Offers.
  • Not redemable for cash, gift certificates or gift cards, nor valid towards previous purchases.
  • Offers not valid on product purchased through third parties including but not limited to Instacart.  
  • Return of discounted items will be for the price actually paid and the value of this offer will be forfeited.
  • Void if altered, copied, transferred, auctioned, or sold.
