After receiving my Joy to the World Destinations Limited Edition Hand Soaps and Pocketbacs I was thinking about how I could incorporate these into a gift.
The labels are so pretty you can just put them in a clear bag with a bow and it's a simple but well appreciated gift but if you wanted to do something more....
I would start with a nice sized basket. Something woven...and large enough to add everything with room enough to stage them.
I would use all five hand soaps because they are a limited edition collection and you could find products to fit the theme of each destination.
Or you can make individual destination themed baskets....(and if your planning a trip to any of these places...add in the tickets!!!)
For individual baskets, Michaels Craft Stores have those petty paper boxes with Paris theme printing that can be used after the goodies are gone.
We have many Italian stores here so for Italy, I would add:
- Bread....(of course)
- homemade pastas, (fresh if the basket is going to be opened immediately....or the dried, bagged versions you see in the specialty sections of most grocery stores
- cheese
- olive oil
- wine
- pasta sauce
- olives
- pizelles
- cannoli
- tea
- shortbread cookies
- crackers/biscuits
- beers
- cheesecake
- pastry
- pizza kit items
- bagels
- hot dogs? haha
- summer sausage
- champagne
- beautiful fluted glasses
- chocolates
- truffles
- French bread
- pastry
- macroons
- fresh Hawaiian fruits
- macadamia nuts
- kona coffee
I, am no world traveler...no surprise there....and these are just a few quick thoughts from the top of my head inspired by a simple bottle of soap.
I know you can think of many more fun things to add...perhaps a map of the destination...for your baskets. Be sure to share your destination inspirations here.
Happy Travels!
