When the Applause Fades — And the Noise Starts

Last week on Reddit? I was “one of the good ones.” Today? I’m banned and being called the rudest person to ever talk about soap and candles.

Let me just say this: if you’ve followed me for over a decade, read the countless posts I’ve shared, found value in the information I’ve documented — and now this is your takeaway? That says more about you than it ever could about me.

Yes, I deleted my Instagram posts back on 7/28/24. That was my decision. For my peace of mind. And I’m still hearing complaints about it, as though I owed anyone an archive they could scroll through forever. Let’s be honest — are you upset about the photos or the fact that I chose to set a boundary?

You blocked me. You banned me. Yet you keep talking about me — over 100+ comments deep, many from fake usernames. One even came from someone I recognized immediately. The tone, the spite — it was unmistakable. Ghosts from Christmas past, still trying to haunt me.

Here’s what’s real: I didn’t start drama. I responded to it. If you don’t like my tone, maybe don’t lead with your own. I don’t sit back quietly anymore when false things are said. I’m not obligated to take social media abuse just to stay “liked.”

And if my presence really caused such disruption, why is the conversation still going — without me?

If social media isn’t for me, maybe it isn’t for those who only show up to tear people down. I’m still here, sharing the same information on my old blog — yes, the one you’ve now visited even more thanks to the drama. So, thanks for the traffic, I guess.

If a blog about soap and candles from someone you’ve now labeled rude, bitter, and irrelevant is too much for you… feel free not to visit. I’ll be okay. Really. The screenshots will still find their way to you, like they always do.

And to those who have reached out with kindness — I see you, and I appreciate you.

Well... This Is Interesting

No rebuttal. No conversation. Just—banned.

I’ve been removed from Reddit. All of my comments, my posts, the threads I engaged in—gone.

What’s interesting is that after I was banned, the hate kept going. People continue to create threads specifically to talk about me, mock me, and misrepresent me—breaking the very first rule of the r/BathAndBodyWorks subreddit: Be Kind.

What’s more interesting? Many of those same users continue to use the information I’ve shared for years—daily—and still take issue with me. Use my notes, then ban me? Strange how that works.

I don’t know the exact reason the ban was issued. As of last night, I was still able to view Reddit normally. This morning? Access gone. Based on what’s been posted publicly, it seems someone reported my replies to being treated poorly—not any violations I made on my own.

To be clear, this appears to be a site-wide ban, not just from one sub. I had only been active in two spaces: the Bath & Body Works sub, and a glioblastoma support sub during a difficult time in my life. I don’t believe the brand itself was involved in this decision at all, nor did I leak any sensitive information that would justify a temporary ban. I’ve intentionally chosen not to share brand advance photos for some time now. That was my choice.

Where I Stand Now

Instagram: Still active, though I’ve removed content. You can message me with questions.
Facebook: I no longer use the platform for groups or personal posts, after everything I shared there was wiped without warning last year. I won’t be rebuilding on that platform.
The Blog: This is my space. It may be old-school and not always flashy, but it’s mine. And it’s where I’ll continue to post what I know, when I know it—without the drama.
Sales Updates: They’ll be in the archive section as always. Right now, Bath & Body Works hasn’t had consistent sales like before, so there hasn’t been as much to share. When that changes, I’ll post.

One Final Note

If deleting my own content felt dramatic to some—so be it. I made that decision for my mental peace. That was last July, and yet… here we are, still talking about it.

If you came here wondering why you can’t find me on Reddit anymore: I didn’t block you. I was removed.

If you’re here because you still want the info without the noise, welcome. I’ll continue sharing. I always have.

Floor Sets for Spring 2 will be done, as usual, in a few phases.
