When the Applause Fades — And the Noise Starts
Last week on Reddit? I was “one of the good ones.” Today? I’m banned and being called the rudest person to ever talk about soap and candles.
Let me just say this: if you’ve followed me for over a decade, read the countless posts I’ve shared, found value in the information I’ve documented — and now this is your takeaway? That says more about you than it ever could about me.
Yes, I deleted my Instagram posts back on 7/28/24. That was my decision. For my peace of mind. And I’m still hearing complaints about it, as though I owed anyone an archive they could scroll through forever. Let’s be honest — are you upset about the photos or the fact that I chose to set a boundary?
You blocked me. You banned me. Yet you keep talking about me — over 100+ comments deep, many from fake usernames. One even came from someone I recognized immediately. The tone, the spite — it was unmistakable. Ghosts from Christmas past, still trying to haunt me.
Here’s what’s real: I didn’t start drama. I responded to it. If you don’t like my tone, maybe don’t lead with your own. I don’t sit back quietly anymore when false things are said. I’m not obligated to take social media abuse just to stay “liked.”
And if my presence really caused such disruption, why is the conversation still going — without me?
If social media isn’t for me, maybe it isn’t for those who only show up to tear people down. I’m still here, sharing the same information on my old blog — yes, the one you’ve now visited even more thanks to the drama. So, thanks for the traffic, I guess.
