Bath & Body Works New Candle Scent Collection Designed To Spice Up Your Space
When the new CEO of Bath and Body Works took over last May he made his intentions clear on what changes he was going to be bringing to the company to reverse years of stagnation.
He mentioned his plan of targeting with innovation as a secret to success.
Over the past week, @Entermpear_vn06 has been sharing some names of Candles that we could see coming over the next few months, and these names caught everyone's attention.
Ghost Pepper
Chili Pepper
Jalapeno
Pickled Pepper
My Thoughts:
Were the names chosen...at lunchtime? Around a table with the aromas of bagged up Popeyes filling the air and someone, most likely starving and brain fatigued over coming up with another disruptive collection before they could eat -- yelled out, "Ghost Pepper?"
I kid.
A new employee named Peter Piper offered up his recent harvest of pickled peppers as a choice?
No?
I love to cook. And with all of the changes to my diet over the last seven months, I do plenty of cooking for me, and sometimes differently for hubby. Growing up in an Italian family, and a Mix of other nationalities, the smells at any given time will make your mouth water. While the flavor blending's happening in the pan --- are delicious. Do I want my home smelling like garlic when the meal is over? Not Really.
So, for now I am wondering where a spicy, hot pepper collection would fit into my fragrance layering of my home.
If it is to be a collection to sniff, close the lid and collect --- Like some of those we had at the holidays it may be a pass for many.
I remember that Hand Soap a little while ago...Was it Pumpkin Pecan Waffles ??? that had the odd smell of peppers to it...and couldn't be sold. Blech.
With all of the requested scents that we beg to come back...at holiday, we got Pickles -- now we get Peppers.

Bath & Body Works Semi Annual Sale Table Prep Seen Today
A Note:
Some Stores have received Holiday Body Care Gift Sets.
After the SAS ends, we will see some marketing changes happen in the store...as mentioned on the webcast at the end of May. These marketing changes are to help shoppers see at a glance the various categories the fragrances are associated with. Fresh, Clean, etc.
I look forward to seeing (other than the photos I shared here) what the new look will be.
Bath & Body Works Semi-Annual Sale Thoughts
Two people asked me today where my posting for the Semi Annual Sale was, like others did - Official or Unofficial.
That answer is simple. I am not doing one.
My thoughts about this sale are it always feels very fluid, and pricing sometimes changes from one day to the next so --- Buy What You Like. Buy What You Love. If you wait too long for that bigger price reduction, you may miss out on getting it.
I will post all of the photos and pricing I see and know. As of this past Monday, Items and Pricing were sent to stores.
My following posts will show some progress heading towards the Semi-Annual Sale Online Preview and then Monday's First Day.
