Found today, I am guessing this is the next Sneak Peek of a New Collaboration. Hmm. what could it be?
While we ponder that, I will share some personal thoughts --- somewhat related to this. In a way.
My brother is a HUGE Star Wars fan, and I mean since he was born. Anything Sci-Fi, Marvel, and Disney, he is there. In a huge way. There is not a year that goes by that he doesn't ask my sister or me to go to Florida and visit his "home planet."
Traveling in a plane? Me? If you want to know who the Air Marshall is before the plane even taxis down a runway --- sure...let's try that. I can't do heights, and I am claustrophobic as all get go ---checks off the boxes of sit yourself down on the ground and watch from afar. No trains or driving either. So, I do miss out.
He does not. And his love of that genre has taken him into doing community service in big and small ways all of his life -- something engrained in us from our mother.
That's where he was all day today. travelling to at least four different locations across AR with his custom-made lights and sounds, and movement activated R2-D2 Droid. His first stop is a school before the bell where a principle (I think he said) was going to be surprised & celebrated at Morning Dropoff. Next, a Walmart store...A Children's Hospital...and I am forgetting what the fourth stop is. I had tears in my eyes from the excitement in his voice listening to him tell me of his day today because I know how much this means to him.
He made his Droid and is currently working on the BB-8 to tour with him also. He hands out custom trading cards of the Droids and custom designed coins for the kids. Dressed in a Bridge Crew Uniform for some visits, he travels the states bringing small pieces of joy--- especially to the kids in the Children's Hospitals. He is part of a (group) Unit that does these community service projects and one day soon he will be wearing his Boba Fett character Uniform when it's completed and approved. Another of his favorites.
During a recent convention stop where Weird Al Yankovic was performing, both he and his R2 were asked to come up on stage with him.
I was hoping to grab a few things' theme related that are coming soon for him as a surprise, but I may not make it to the gate at opening because I have an eye dr. appointment an hour away beginning at the same time!!! DRATS. Perhaps the few things I wanted will show up earlier for the typical "Online Preview" days prior.
Ya never know, Maybe... the FORCE WILL be with me.
