Monday's Store visit was a bit hectic and while I grabbed a bunch of things from my list, there were more things I wanted to check out, read the back of the labels on a few, and decide if I wanted to try them... all while gathering a few photos as reminders of what I wanted to talk about later in the day.
I am well behind on getting everything posted from that day, but I did grab a few (not so great) photos of the marketing changes above each fragrance section that I wanted to archive. I planned on shopping today, but since it finally stopped raining and the heat dropped below 100 degrees, my husband chose cutting the grass instead. Probably for the best since I cracked another rib on a box. Currently, I am icing it and reading social.๐
My store is an older store, with little changes to its look since it opened many, many years ago.
The stores out of my area are the more modern versions. During the last webcast, it was mentioned the fragrance note types would be integrated into newer marketing making it easier to find what we love, and maybe something we never took the time to try. The first photo below is the concept photo shared on that webcast.

I shared some of the marketing pics on my way out the door of my store, and they were a topic on Reddit. Not a bad topic, just one I care to mention...while icing.
My blog archive postings have always been public. Long before the Tok, there was the T - me.
Over time, I have shared photos from months in advance, to seasons in advance. I have compiled huge typed out lists of things to come, season by season, month by month, things that did release all with scent notes and photos attached to have a place to look something up from years ago, or even a month ago.
I do the work.
I have the expense of doing the work monetarily to utter nonsense of others. For YEARS.
Years.
And that is on me. My choice.
When I saw it for myself, I complained. It fell on deaf ears. When I complained more, I was chastised and ridiculed.
When I shared that taking a screen shot of all of my work --- the lists, and things and sharing it EVERYWHERE that doing so took away the monetization of viewership from years of doing this.
Fell on deaf ears.
I have lost a lot more than I could ever gain by sharing, more than anyone knows, and many don't care. It was shared recently on Reddit, "I wasn't needed anymore; someone else can get the info and won't complain about it." All because you chose not to share a link to the work?
Others on social sites have also mentioned that their work, images, and photos are being used --- and they don't like it either...or have said so. And it happens.
So why bother trying to explain, complain, or shame. Some will NEVER get it...until they have it happen to them.
My thanks to u/gammagirl11 for your comments. I don't know you but thank you for the kindness.
And yes, screenshots are swiping...to those who do the work.
And doing the proper thing is never a hard thing. Most times it's the right thing. I'm done trying to explain what that is to social media.
Right or wrong, swiping or not --- enjoy my work. It will always be public --- until it's not.
