Michaels Craft Store | Lowest Prices of the Season Sale | Washi Tape, Fairy Garden Miniatures and Scrapbook Paper ( and more )

If you love Michael's Craft Stores, now is the time to check out their latest sale flyer because the prices are dropping and you don't want to miss these sales.

I will admit it.  There was so much more I wanted to add to my little black rolling shopping basket as I ventured up and down each aisle yesterday but didn't. Resisting was hard.

But my main goal was to grab some of the Washi Tape that was on sale for 70% off ( $14.99 each for $4.49) for my Happy Planner so that was my focus.  Of course, going down the aisle with the miniatures made me stop and look at the 50% off of ALL of them.  And a few of the summer theme pieces did end up coming home with me.  As did a few sheets of the 7 for $1 scrapbooking papers.
The sale flyer was inside of my purse and later this week I will check it over to see if there is anything I need to grab before the sale ends this Saturday.

Here are a few of my new finds:

Life Talk | Winter Storm ( nor' easter ) Skylar - March 13, 2018

Dear Old Man Winter.
Thank you so much for the blessings of white we have had so far this season. There is nothing like a sparkling coating of fresh snow to bring about the inspiration of a winter wonderland.  Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas without you. But this is what I was thinking...

There are so many other places in the world that would LOVE to have this snow white inspiration like we have had, every week now, so maybe you can drop a bunch of the white flakes on them so they aren't so jealous of us here in the Northeast.  In other words, I am going to put my winter coat away now for the season and we can make a later date, say November sometime to get together again.
This plan of a Nor'easter every week is wearing me out!  And yes, I know you are planning on a little something, something next week. What do you say you chill-lax that thought and head south?  Spring is set to begin this coming Tuesday and you look like you need a vacay.

Saturday Supper | Country Style Baked Pork Chops

I found a recipe on Pinterest that I was curious about and today I gave it a try. It was so delicious, you can try it too!

Ingredients:
4 boneless pork chops ( you can use pork chops with the bone-in )
1 Chopped Onion
1 tablespoon cold water
¼ cup brown sugar
½ cup ketchup
Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions:
Wash the Pork Chops and place them in a baking dish.  I use a metal pan lined with aluminum foil but you can use glass as well.
Add the chopped onion, salt, and pepper. I do prefer a larger size piece chopped onion for some things that I cook, but you can use any size chopped onion.
Mix the brown sugar, ketchup and the tablespoon of cold water together and cover the pork chops with the mixture in the pan.
Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake at 375 degrees for approx. 50-60 minutes. Check on the Pork Chops a few times and baste them. You may notice the Chops look watery.
Remove the Foil covering halfway through the cooking time and continue to cook them uncovered.
These tasted so delicious I am going to try this mixture on chicken next.  The sweetness of the brown sugar combined with the tomato ketchup to form a surprising mouthwatering coating. I hope you enjoy it too~  Enjoy.

Thursday Things to Eat | Garlic Parmesan And Buffalo Chicken Wings

One of my favorite quick to make meals, Chicken Wings! Sweet Baby Ray's Buffalo Sauce and Parmesan Cheese and Garlic Coated....

I re-posted the link below with the full, detailed instructions on making our favorite chicken wings that we had again today.  As a side dish, I made some egg noodles.  Not only is it tasty, egg noodles help calm the heat of the Sweet Baby Ray's Buffalo Sauce.
I used one half of the bag of No Yolks Egg Noodles approx. 6 ounces. You can use any egg noodles you prefer, I use these because they have no cholesterol. I brought them to a boil and cooked until soft to eat.
After they are drained completely, I melted two tablespoons of butter ( more if needed depending on how dry the noodles appear) on low heat in a frying pan and warm until melted and add the noodles.  Using a spatula, coat the noodles.  I used four large (scrambled in a bowl first ) eggs on my noodles today but you can use as many eggs you are comfortable with. Continuing with low heat, keep the noodles/eggs moving in the pan so they don't stick and burn.
It won't take long and they will be light and fluffy. Enjoy.
