Bath & Body Works | Today's APP Exclusive 25% Off Sale Information - PART TWO - CANCELLED

When I shared what was going on this morning with a photo and update below regarding the APP Exclusive, I didn't expect it to be ultimately cancelled.  But here is the decision to drop the sale - the update, to the update.


9/6 Update:

As we shared this morning, the APP Exclusive for 25% off was not available for customers this morning. To ensure we are providing the best omni customer experience, the decision was made to not run the promotion this weekend.

We will provide any updates on future APP Exclusive promotions, prior to their effective dates. We apologize for any confusion this might have caused.



9/6 Update: Due to unforeseen issues, the APP Exclusive for 25% off is NOT currently available in the APP for customers this morning.  We will provide an update when it has been fixed/is running to support the customer experience.


What:  To encourage our Rewards Members to log in and shop through the My Bath & Body Works APP, after recent APP updates, we will run an exclusive IN APP ONLY offer for 25% Off Any Purchase + Free Shipping with Any $50 Purchase


  • Purchases made in the app during this time will automatically add the 25% off.  Free Shipping will be applied with Any $50 Purchase using a code for select days.  This means that our Rewards members will still be eligible for other promotions and email exclusives!

 

  • This offer is in the APP only, however all purchases made in the APP during this time frame are BOPIS eligible.  If a customer asks about the offer in-store, share with them they can place an order in the APP.


  • If the customer chooses to order in the APP, say "Great, we'll get your order ready as soon as we can but, we're not sure how long it will take.  You'll receive an email as soon as it's ready.


My Speculations from Observations: There was a glitch on the APP this morning that allowed extra discounts to be added to this discount -- creating a big discount on the large amounts of candles being purchased.  As word got out about the glitch, and large candle orders were being made,  the company had to pull the discount off of the APP until it is corrected.  I did notice for myself that since the APP had its recent update where we all had to redo our sign in, the points for rewards in the APP do not match the points on the web.  Errors/glitches happen.  I am sure we will be getting another great discount like this soon.
