Scented Musings | Life in a Garden 2024

Summer Fading into Fall πŸŒΏπŸ‚

A little tomato seed somehow found its way into the Lavender and Pumpkin Patch, and late in the season, these tiny tomatoes are doing their best to grow. The cooler nights are starting to stunt their growth, but every little fruit makes me smile. #TomatoGirl πŸ… #Summer #TomatoSandwich #GardenGirl #Garden #Tomato #Lavender #Pumpkin #PumpkinPatch

These late-blooming pumpkin seeds have also managed to produce tiny pumpkins tucked beneath the leaves, each one a hopeful reminder of the season’s change.

I’ll clear these beds last—just to see how far they get. Fall cleanup is always just as challenging as Spring planting, and with the ragweed, pollen, and mildew wreaking havoc on my sinuses, it feels like a struggle. But there’s something magical about this time of year, when even the smallest plants keep pushing forward.
