Initial Thoughts:
There is something to be said about the transition fragrance makes on your mood and it is one of the most important things we can do for ourselves in our day to day routine.
Life is one big, fast-paced "get it all done" race and there are some days that the "get it all done" just doesn't happen. One of my favorite things to do at the end of a busy day is to enjoy a candle here in my office. If I am home all day, there is one burning downstairs always...the scent is to be determined by my mood...as well as if I am cooking something I don't want it competing with. But at night...it is my office, the computer, my tv, and fragrance.
Last night it was still rather warm outside so my "burn choice" was one of the new Fall HomeWorx by Harry Slatkin candles I received from a friend to review. I grabbed the Pumpkin Caramel Corn scent because it was new, and I actually wanted to snack but the hour was late and I thought this would fill in that gap.
I love all fragrances but I need to be in the mood for a gourmand scent and last night was a perfect time.
HomeWorx Candles are now FOUR wicks which means you are smelling these incredible fragrances FASTER than before. And it was just minutes and I was smelling a rich, sweet buttery caramel scent. My husband yelled down the hall to me, asking what was I eating and if I planned on sharing. I smiled to myself and told him nothing and he came into my office and said, " I smell it in our room."
I pointed over my shoulder at the candle and he smiled and said, " Harry" and left.
The burn on this candle was perfect in every way. The throw was down the hall, into the bedrooms, and down the stairs. This morning I still smelled it throughout the upstairs.
I would classify it as a comforting scent. Rich with sugar, buttery caramel over warm popcorn in a paper bag in your hand...with that scent coming up in your face that you cannot wait to dive in and taste it. The pumpkin spice notes are there but not a strong hit you in the nose, smell, they are subtle as if they were stirred into the caramel as it warmed. Decadent, sweet, lick the caramel off of your fingers and taste the saltiness of the popcorn kind of scent.
Walk the Boardwalk, or local Carnivals in the summertime and smell that sweetness in the air that calls to you...that is this for me.
Great. Now I am hungry.
