I stopped in store today to check out some of the candles offered during this weeks candle sale with fingers crossed to see a Forever Red Candle...which was not yet out. I grabbed soaps and a Tree Farm Candle from the hexagon shelving unit while checking out some others there...wanting a Merry Cookie because of the cute label...only to turn them around and find this.
Hmm. I have seen many variations of wax and the fun things they do....but this??? It's....Chunky. Like what is going on in there...did someone fall in the wax vat? I kid...kidding... but really...THIS PASSED QUALITY CONTROL?
Being stuck with Hot Cocoa & Cream candles from years ago that got an "aesthetic issue" I was told ---that looks like fiberglass crystals, and continues to grow more crystals...----"but it's finnneeeee" to burn----..sure...okay.....yuck and I didn't get them exchanged...and haven't burned any.
I know wax has to meet certain conditions or you can get imperfections; cooling issues, heat issues, storage issues...honestly, when I am buying something, I expect it to look good, and perform well. I don't want to worry when I light it what other "TRICKS" it may do. And it shouldn't be my problem to contend with.
That entire season of Hot Cocoa & Cream was bad...and they still sit in a time out in the back of the candle closet making me mad when I see them.
So I was disappointed when I saw a shelf section full of Merry "Chunky" Cookie...with no others aesthetically pleasing, also known as good... left...so I passed on it. Not a great look for a gift.
What can I say, I like my candles like Peanut Butter ---Smooth without Chunks.
