πΏ Scented Musings: Lavender Hands & Legacy Soaps
Being a long-time Bath & Body Works fragrance fan, I’ve gathered quite the collection of items I use (and love) daily. One of my absolute favorites? The hand soaps — especially the Moisturizing Hand Soaps. Whenever I could stock up, I did.
I’ve always appreciated the variety: the Gentle Foaming, the Cleansing Gel with those little beads (remember those?), and now — it seems like we’re getting a version of those beads back, possibly reimagined in a Clean Beauty format. I’m curious to see what that looks like.
After a long, back-breaking, knee-aching, “why does my shoulder hurt — oh right, I’m not 25 anymore” kind of day in the yard, it’s that trusted soap I reach for. There’s nothing like washing away a layer of soil (or five) after working outside, especially when it’s with a scent that feels like home.
Today, while trimming back the lavender bush, I realized something kind of magical — the old Moisturizing Hand Soap I’ve kept all these years still smells exactly like that lavender. And yes, it’s well past the expiration date. But the best thing about soap? It’s still soap.
The bottles may have changed shape, but the quality — it’s still spot on. Or should I say… spot off? π
