I've often heard it said, "We eat with our eyes first", and maybe that is an old Italian family saying or maybe it has merit...but I found it to be true regarding all of those things I do in my life. I am a very tactile person...I touch everything. Makes my husband laugh as we wander through stores, even grocery shopping. I smell everything, taste everything, and BUY everything if and when the packaging hits home for me as pleasing.
I love color, and all things that consist of color...bright and muted. I guess that is what draws me to crafts so much. And the outdoors. Nature is my favorite thing to photograph and be part of, and even with diminishing vision -- I crave it.
It is not lost on anyone who knows me, that this is who I am. My little stickers on notes, and stickers on bottle of Hand Sanitizer. Scents draw me in, (or repel me), but the label...that is the money maker for businesses.
After @_scentsgalore shared all of her store finds of the Testing Holiday Candles yesterday, I found myself liking more of the packaging than I expected. Just the packaging of course, for now.
There are those always return-again fragrances like the Holiday Traditions Collections that we know how they always end up smelling.
Those labels, hmmm...Not jumping out at me as ta-dah buy me -- and I guess we now know what the packaging will be on the Holiday Traditions Body Care ...Bows... Thank Heavens, please no more floating bubble icon motifs. But just for asking sake, can't we ever get back to some cute characters on the Body Care Labels? You were on the right track using characters on the Christmas in July --- the execution was a bit off for some is all. That, and the fact that people wanted more Summer Scents for Summer; I know, I know, go figure.
So, after giving the test candles a quick looksee, those in the collage are what drew me in. I do like traditional Holiday colors, but I also love pink themes. The postcard labels are simply adorable and will come home with me. I just grabbed some stickers at Hobby Lobby along with tiny holiday cards for including when packaging orders and the coloring and theme is spot on.
The pearlized scenic labels look interesting and if the scents are what I hope, they too will be purchased. Spiced Gingerbread, well, ANYTHING Gingerbread is an automatic buy as it is a favorite to give, and use.
Smells of the tree's candles are also a given.
With hopes of more variations of Candles --- scents and labels --- to still come out from now until the end of the year, I can say these collections shared are putting me in a welcoming mood for Holiday Candle purchases. The plate isn't full yet so to speak, but I am, "ready to eat."
