Bath & Body Works | Black Friday Shopping Tips For An Easy Shopping Experience

Black Friday at Bath and Body Works will be celebrated all week long ( November 23rd, 24th, 25th, and 27th) in stores this year, with the exception of Thanksgiving when it will be online only, and here are a few simple tips that I do for shopping.

I don't know if there will be some items out on one day and not another, or if the sale of buy three get three free will just run for the four days and whatever is there, is there until it sells out.  You will need to decide when you want to shop.  These days are being offered to keep the lines smaller, the wait shorter, and all of us safer while we shop.

1. MAKE A LIST of those items you want.  You know you may be adding extras to the bag when you see all that is in store, but write down your must haves so you don't forget them.  Seeing all of the Holiday Decor, while hearing the festive music in this place you love...you can get distracted.  Okay, yes I do too!

2. Remember that the sale in store for these days is BUY ANY 3 items GET ANY 3 items free...LOWEST PRICED ITEMS ARE THE FREE ITEMS.

  • For example--If you buy three candles and then add three  pocketbac refills to the order, I am thinking the pocketbacs could end up being your free items.
  • But if you buy say six candles and six pocketbacs, the registers should be...should be I am told, programmed to adjust the pricing on the grouping of items accordingly.  Three candles free, three pocketbacs free.
  • The register will take care of determining the free items...so that is where my list came in handy to separate the items in groups by pricing.
  • Oh and very important, free may show up on the register slip as half off pricing, not a zero 0.00.  I think all items need a value placed on them in case of returns.
  • I always have Lower priced items together. Higher priced items together. Two Bags for shopping, making it easier for me to keep track of what I have and What I Forgot.

3. Don't let it feel complicated or overwhelming.  It is shopping.  The sales associates will guide you if you get confused.

4. Figure out which coupons you will be using beforehand.  Staple them to your list!!!  So you know where they are.

There is no limit on the items you can buy and no limit on the coupons you can use, but you can only use ONE 20% off coupon PER TRANSACTION.

5. From my time of shopping the sale, coupons went like this:

  • You must have qualifying purchase dollar amounts to support the coupons being used.
  • Your FREE ITEM COUPON (if you have one - it should be a $13.50 value) will come off the total first
  • Then any $10 dollars off of a $40 purchase coupons come off
  • Then any 20% off coupon comes off at the end (if there are any with valid dates available)

6. Buy the items in the store that RARELY go on any kind of good sale.

  • Gift Sets
  • Wallflower Units Plugs
  • Pocketbac Holders
  • Sanitizing Sprays
  • Travel Size Products
  • Scentportable Holders
  • Accessories for the body: sponges, brushes, masks, bath bombs, shea socks, etc.
  • Accessories for the home: pedestals, candle sleeves, soap sleeves, candle magnets, etc.
  • Single Wick Candles maybe
  • Cosmetic Zippered Bags
  • Gift Bags

7. Don't forget to add in the Purchase with Purchase Santa Approved boxed set of 9 Items!  A great treat for yourself or break it up for many gifts.

8. Remember to ask for the free cello gift bags and tags if you need them ( if the store isn't too busy ) Or maybe ask now in the weeks coming up to the sale for a cello bag or two when you make a purchase.

9. Plan, Shop, Enjoy!
