Disney Parks Blog: New baby Giraffe name Picked

In July I posted a blog about the newest member  to Disney Parks Animal Kingdom, a new baby giraffe calf.... and in it I mentioned there was a poll posted to name the new little one.
Yesterday, Disney announced his name:

This week, Disney Parks Blog readers decided the name for the first Masai giraffe calf born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom – it’s “Mosi” (which means “first”).

Other name choices that received a large amount of votes were “Baraka” (which means “blessing”) and “Shingo” (which means “long neck”). Check out Jackie’s original story to see our first video of Mosi. Thank you to everyone who voted.
