Yesterday I did a quick post of some of the scents found on the Product Guides that just came out and today I will share a bit more about them.
When I posted on Instagram, I always shared the photos of the current guides (as well as making a list here)...to let everyone know what we could be seeing in the future floor sets. I know you all love to keep up to date on the New...and the returning OLD.
So, product guides are not for us. They are for sales associates to keep in their apron for a quick reference of fragrances. With so many fragrances coming out every month, along with core fragrances on the wall all year long...that is a huge amount of information to know and this learning guide helps out. Product Guides help keep it all straight, while new employees learn what scent falls under what category.
Bath and Body Works uses a few basic scent categories to classify their fragrances.
- Fresh and Relaxing
- Sweets and Sips
- Floral and Uplifting
- Warm and Comforting
- Woodsy and Crisp
- Fruity and Happy
- Fruity
- Floral
- Citrus
- Fresh
- Woody
- Gourmand
- Warm
- Top Picks
And these new Product Guides now show what fragrance forms the scents will be out in. Such as:
- Body Care
- Wallflowers
- Candles
- Hand Soaps
The Product Guides show the current fragrances out during the time the guide is made, along with a reference to an upcoming floor set collection. Such as Summer 3 as the new guides depict.
One thing to note: just because you see a scent on the Guide, does not mean it could be returning...it could be that there is remaining stock regarding that scent, possibly in an outlet.
Or, it could also mean we could see it come for Semi-Annual Sale. Until we see the new floor set paperwork, we won't know what - for sure - is coming for Semi-Annual Sale. And in reading all of the the scent names, we recognize what is out now in stores for Summer 1 Preview.
When I look to see what is coming, I focus on the "(summer3)" as the new/returning.
