While out and about shopping today I saw that Walmart is already getting ready for their Back to School Sales by putting out the school supplies at the super August sale prices.
Getting my daughter ready for school was one of my favorite things to do when she was young. Even as a student in college, we would both make it a day to have fun going clothes shopping and then hitting Staples and Walmart for the pens and paper necessities.
Every year now since her passing, I make sure I still do that....in her honor.....and donate tons of crayons, paper, pens and those little zipper pencil bags to the elementary schools here in town.....the "stuff the bus" program in the mall out of our area...as well as the helping hands society who also desperately need supplies for those little ones.
Teachers bear the burden most times making sure all students have what they need to get through the school year. Poverty knows no age bracket and its hard for me to know something as simple as a new box of crayons can make a difference to a student.
I realize it is July and everyone is thinking swimming pools and vacations.....laying out on a beach and cool summer drinks. I just wanted to pass along some awesome sales happening now (unpublished) as well as reminding anyone who wants to make a difference in a childs school year....you can do so now a little bit cheaper.
